Norilsk Nickel orders 90 mln euro plant upgrade from Metso Qutotec

MOSCOW, Dec 17 (PRIME) -- Russian metals giant Norilsk Nickel has ordered a 90 million euro upgrade of one of the two smelt lines of the Nadezhda Metallurgical Plant, Norilsk Nickel said in a statement on Thursday.

Equipment should be delivered in January–June 2022.

Replacement of the existing smelt line with a new technological process will improve its throughput capacity and exploitation parameters significantly, reduce losses of metal and simplify technical maintenance, the company said.
